  gorgeous little place in grasmere with great season flavours mixed with and oriental themed menu and cosy decour. it was so good we went back twice in a week!

  Although the food is probably 2*, the way these people conduct themselves says it all. My advice is to avoid as they cannot handle negative feedback. Andy Hill, the owner thinks it is impossible that anyone can have a bad experience in his restaurant. If you go on trip advisor and read his responses to negative reviews, you will notice a theme. He often claims people said "see I told you if we complained enough we would get a free meal" or that they planned to complain all along. This guy cannot manage a restaurant and has no idea how to provide customer service. He has an incompetent manager who can't handle decisions and calls Andy (who is not at the restaurant) to manage situations which the manager should be doing. Despite this, and the similarity in negative reviews, Andy fails to recognise that the source of failure here is the restaurant manager. The responses to negative feedback must be read to understand how you will be treated if your experience is poor.
  The concept and restaurant are dated, and only stand a chance in a little place without much competition like Grasmere.
